Ep. 1: Food Thought and Ep. 2: Women in Tech

from The Kathryn Zox Show · host Kathryn Zox

Kathryn interviews bestselling philosophy writer Martin Cohen, author of "I Think, Therefore I Eat: The World's Greatest Minds Tackle the Food Question". We spend so much time and money on food, but do we really spend enough thought on food? Cohen uses examples from the great philosophers of the past not to tell us what to eat, but how to think about what we eat. The result is a fascinating look at food that will greatly alter our conceptions of what we put into our body and the industry that sells it to us. Kathryn also interviews software engineer Pratima Rao Gluckman, author of "Nevertheless, She Persisted: True Stories of Women Leaders in Tech". The high-tech industry is still rife with gender bias. Gluckman tells the stories of 19 women who overcame formidable odds to succeed in a male-dominated culture. The stories are a testament to persistence, whether undergoing a grueling education or going back to ask for a promotion after being rejected.
