Ep. 1: Inspired Living and Ep. 2: Sick to Death

from The Kathryn Zox Show · host Kathryn Zox

Kathryn interviews Kelly McGrath Martinsen, author of "A Year of Inspired Living: Essays and Exercises for Self-Reflection". Martinsen found herself laid off from her job as a pharmaceutical executive, struggling with a husband's cancer diagnosis and a son's rare epilepsy disorder. Inspired by a few years of her own inspired living, Martinsen connects with readers and helps them reach into the hidden corners of their lives and develop a greater awareness of their own personal relationships and journeys. Kathryn also interviews activist and independent filmmaker Maggie Hadleigh-West on her documentary "Sick to Death". After drinking radioactive iodine to kill her overactive thyroid, Hadleigh-West catapults into illness only to run smack into the medical corruption that is shredding the fabric of American life. Hadleigh-West is featured on 20/20, The Today Show, CBS News, BBC, NPR, and CNN.
