Ep. 1: Sexuality and Religion and Ep. 2: Social Change

from The Kathryn Zox Show · host Kathryn Zox

Kathryn interviews Break Free Together founder Linda Kay Klein, author of "Pure: Inside the Evangelical Movement that Shamed a Generation of Young Women and How I Broke Free". Klein has been advocating for change in the realm of the American Evangelical Christian Church for over a decade. She was taught that a women's sexuality is viewed as shameful in the eyes of the church. Conversations with other young women coping with these same identity issues facilitated her own healing and lead her to write this book. Kathryn also interviews Global Grassroots president Gretchen Ki Steidle, author of "Leading from Within: Conscious Social Change and Mindfulness for Social Innovation". Steidle argues that personal investment in self-awareness helps to shape leaders who are able to inspire change in others, build stronger relationships, and design innovative and more sustainable solutions. She offers a roadmap for integrating mindfulness into every aspect of social change.
