This week on FREEda's World, I am joined by my dear friend and supporter Layo Gbadamosi! She has also been inducted into the FREEda Women hall of fame! Often times as professional women we are always under the watchful eye of EVERYONE both in and out of the work place. At work we are undervalued and under appreciated. Marcellus- Laurent! Marly V. Marcellus-Laurent received her Juris Doctor degree at New York Law School in 2012. In 2013, Marly started her career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney's Office, where she prosecuted domestic violence and elder law cases until October 2015. Currently, Marly works as an Assistant General Counsel at the New York City Council General Counsel's Office where she handles conflict of interest matters. Post law school, Marly has remained dedicated to serving her community by mentoring first year law student through her law school's Academic Affairs program. Marly is also an active member of the Haitian American Lawyer's Association of New York and served as its Vice-President in 2016.
