Since 1984, Dr. Schuberth has been an Attending Staff in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Foot and Ankle Service with the Permanente Medical Group, Kaiser Foundation Hospital in San Francisco, CA. A prolific surgeon, Dr. Schuberth performed over 26,000 cases and was a leader in the development and evolution of Total Ankle Replacement surgery having performed over 1600 total ankle replacements. Dr. Schuberth highlights his training at the Waldo Residency program in Seattle after graduating from the Illinois College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Schuberth gave a talk on total ankle replacements at Arizona College of Podiatric Medicine.  Dr. Jack Schuberth shares valuable insights on the maturation process of a surgeon. Dr. Schuberth emphasized that the journey to becoming a proficient surgeon extends well beyond formal training, with true growth occurring through on-the-job experiences and continuous learning.
