Ep. 11 // 25 years later, a Minnesota author retraces the steps of Versace's killer

from Liz Collin Reports · host Alpha News

Send us Fan MailIt’s been 25 years since a serial killer went on a murderous rampage that claimed the lives of five people. The killing spree began in Minneapolis in April of 1997 and ended 79 days later — on July 15  — on the steps of a Miami Beach mansion with the murder of Gianni Versace, the Italian fashion designer. The gunman, Andrew Cunanan, died by suicide eight days later. Many Minnesotans were glued to the  more than two-month manhunt, including Dave Racer, who would eventually give a voice to the team who tracked Cunanan. Racer is the author of Death by Design, a detailed record of that time in history. Support the show
