"KNOCK KNOCK, LET THE DEVIL IN!" After many years of trying and failing, and despite just having started a working relationship with Marvel via a new take on Spider-Man, Sony's (let's be honest, Avi Arad's) dream of making a solo film of Eddie Brock's darker half finally came true in 2018. Despite being critically panned to hell and back and being an absolute mess that didn't exactly know what it wanted to be, the movie was a box office success and gained something of a cult following via the one thing that resonated with people -- the romcom angle of Eddie and the symbiote. With the supposed final chapter just around the corner, is there a chance that two resident Sony haters missed something all those years ago?
