EP 13 | Josh Rabin
from Miltrick Media · host Sean Patrick Miller
Josh Rabin is a comedian from Staten Island, New York. Fresh off of recent performances at The Broadway Comedy Club in Manhattan and The Hop Shoppe in Staten Island, Josh sat down with me to talk about his biggest comedic influences. John Mulaney and Norm Macdonald are two comedians that greatly inspired his decision to pursue stand-up. We talked about his very first performance which happened to be at an open mic at Beans & Leaves Cafe on Forest Avenue in Staten Island. Josh was only 16 at the time. Comedians now more than ever need to create engaging content in order to stand out from the crowd and Josh and I discussed content creation, Tik-Tok, and how he's currently focusing on creating engaging short-form video content. We later talked about our favorite tv shows, movies, and music artists growing up. Josh revealed that he’s becoming more interested in collecting vinyl records. I got to ask Josh questions about how we creates material, how he prepares for performances, and ultimately what he hopes to accomplish with his comedic career throughout 2022 and beyond...
