Ep.#149: Colonel Corey Ramsby, Southern Preparatory Academy

We sit down with Col. Corey Ramsby, President of Southern Preparatory Academy, to unpack what the school really is today and why it’s in the middle of a deliberate renewal. We talk about the campus, the mission, and why structure and accountability only matter when they serve academics and student growth. • Southern Preparatory Academy’s 330-acre Camp Hill campus and its four pillars rooted in faith • The school’s origin in 1898 and how its purpose has evolved across three distinct eras • Corey Ramsby’s transition from a long Air Force and Space Force career to school leadership • Misconceptions about “military school” and why Southern Prep centers education, not reform • Building modern relevance through academics, athletics, leadership training, and character development • Small-school impact, student pathways, and current grade levels served www.southernprepacademy.org
