This episode was born because of a recent New York Times article about genetic testing. To get our facts straight, we interview experts fertility doctor Dr. Prati Sharma & genetic counsellor Nikki Logan who break down the tests available  and the pros and cons of each to find out how health your baby is. In the first trimester NIPT, Non-invasive Prenatal Testing (NIPT) is the first screening test that you can get from as early as 9 weeks of pregnancy. Not only will we, as health professionals discuss our perspectives and personal experiences with prenatal testing and screening, but you will find out what tests and why Dr. Prati, Nikki, Dr. Tanya and Mary did during our own pregnancies.... which were different but thankfully, all of our babies were born healthy. At the end of the day, there are many tools available to assess the health of your baby.   It can be overwhelming which ones to choose but as fertility health experts you can trust, check out this episode and we will help you decrease anxiety, navigate options and set expectations surrounding tests which aren't perfect.
