EP 15 | Rayna Pajares-Held

Rayna Pajares-Held is a social media content creator. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Rayna has amassed nearly 200,000 followers on Tik-Tok channel @vintagequeen_1 through her various categories of short-form content. Makeup processes, transformations, singing videos, vlogs, and day in the life videos are among the many pieces of content she creates. After going viral in 2019 with a Billie Eilish inspired trend video Rayna’s account started to steadily grow. We talked about growing and creating content on Tik-Tok and social media in general. Rayna shared some of her process for creating content and marketing her channel. Rayna wanted to start creating content after being inspired by watching editing and lip-syncing videos on YouTube when she was younger. She was drawn to this career by watching positive feedback on videos and this is when she realized she wanted to pursue content creation. We went back and forth about our first YouTube channels when we were younger and Rayna described the different types of niches she has explored over the years. Later on Rayna talked about attending film school, and wanting to get involved in the film industry and having a passion for film production. We talked the importance of networking in the entertainment industry, creating schedules for posting content and how Rayna is gravitating toward creating more make-up content. Rayna discussed possibly getting involved with more songwriting and how she has a couple of original songs in the works.
