As these two kingdoms vie for ultimate authority, there is drama, alliances, arranged marriages, divorces, disinheriting children, breach of contracts, more divorce, more disinheriting, political pawns, assassination, revenge, looting and pillaging, mobilizing troops, traitors, murder, taxes, cunning and intrigue, intentional dishonor, breaking the holy covenant, defiling the temple, flagrant idolatry, and finally perseverance of the remnant.
