This neo-noir thriller stars Nicolas Cage as a down-on-his-luck drifter who stumbles into a small Wyoming town and is mistaken for a hitman hired to kill a local woman, played by Lara Flynn Boyle of Twin Peaks. Seizing the chance for easy money, he takes the cash but soon finds himself entangled in a web of deceit, murder, and double-crosses, especially when the real hitman (Dennis Hopper) shows up. What starts as a lucky break turns into a deadly chase across the desert where everyone’s lying, and no one’s getting out clean.
