It's a new month, so we have a new book! This month, we're reading The Songbird and the Heart of Stone by Carissa Broadbent, the third book in the Crowns of Nyaxia series. This week we're reading chapters 1-9. In this episode, we get reacquainted with Mische, the plucky, bubbly vampire who has a dark past. She is captured by the Shadowborn vampire royals after she killed their Prince - her maker, and instead of killing her, the unwanted son takes her on a perilous mission to the underworld instead. The issue, though, is that the God that she pledged her life to has just brought her back into his good graces, with the promise that she will fulfill a dangerous mission in the underworld - to kill a God.
