Angelina Jolie’s effortless confidence does a lot of the heavy lifting as the film hops between exotic locations, elaborate traps, and villains who feel more like obstacles than characters. It’s slick and energetic, yet oddly weightless, an adventure that looks impressive in motion while never quite convincing you there’s anything truly at risk beyond the next action set piece.
