Ep 1999: Why Most People Wait Too Long to Take Their Health Seriously
from The Mental Toughness & Body Show · host Robb
In this episode I discuss why most people wait far too long before taking their health seriously. Too often, people only start paying attention when their body forces them to, through low energy, weight gain, poor sleep, aches and pains, illness, a health scare, or simply no longer feeling like themselves. The problem is that health doesn’t usually collapse overnight; it slowly declines through the small decisions we ignore every day. I talk about the importance of becoming proactive rather than reactive, recognising the warning signs earlier, and understanding that looking after your body is not something to delay until life becomes less busy. Your health is the foundation for your confidence, performance, relationships, energy and quality of life and the sooner you take it seriously, the more control you have over your future.
