Ep.20: I'm Still Confused

Whether it’s learning a new dish in the kitchen or a new customer service skill, we’ve all had that nervous thought, “How am I going to remember all this?” In this age of social media, we are conditioned to crave information in a quick and convenient way, but we can’t truly learn from a 20-second clip. We are simply consuming content without letting it go through the cycle of learning. When we take new information through the full Learning Loop, we can contemplate and process what we’ve learned which is where the real development occurs! We will never master something that we’ve only done once, but if we continuously revisit it, share what we’ve learned, and then apply it and contemplate it, we’ll start to stimulate our brain’s familiarity with this new knowledge; we will help the brain absorb it into its long term memory. Remember, neurons that fire together wire together! Or a simpler way of saying that … use it, or lose it!
