Ep. 20 | Toxic Positivity; Is it Positively Toxic?

from Wildfire & Flowers · host Paula Dicu & Vanessa Demello

There's such a fine line when it comes to holding space for someone who's presently feeling darker emotions without dismissing them and also ensuring you have the capability of being there for them.  When a person feels uncomfortable dealing with someone who's in a low vibrational state and negates their shadow emotions by essentially asking them to bypass their feelings and shrug it off, that dear friends, is called toxic positivity.  In this episode, Paula and Vanessa discuss how when we choose to be present and hold space for someone rather than being toxically positive, it creates a moment of raw authentic human connection and genuine love.  The co-hostesses share their own personal experiences of when they've been the toxic positive friend and visa versa.  At the end of the day, we are choosing to become better human beings and learning how to be more comfortable with all the ebbs and flows of the human experience. Embodiment takes loving boundaries and compassion.
