The film leans heavily on nostalgia, sometimes affectionately, sometimes like it misplaced its own personality, while juggling old faces and new ones without always giving either enough room to breathe. Michael Keaton still has the timing and energy that made the original work, but the story around him feels more assembled than inspired.
