Since the early 1960's the very essence of men and masculinity has slowly been eroded. The nature of men and boys has been rebranded as "heroic manliness" at best, and "sheer brutality" at worst. Despite the interdependence of both males and females on one another, men and boys have been scapegoated time and again as villains and historic oppressors. Nevermind the cannon fodder that we are, just look at all the damage we've done over the millennia.The media would have you believe that the evil in the hearts of humanity is the sole responsibility of men and men alone. Men are the colonizers of the so-called free world after all. And why is that? Because since the dawn of time it's been men and boys who are truly expendable.WE are the ones to volunteer to set sail and face the bloody trials of a "brave new world". WE are the ones who go out to war. WE are the ones who put the fires out and rescue the people from burning buildings. WE are the ones who have volunteered to work late hours, go into debt and commit our live for the safety and betterment of our families, forfeiting our own wants and needs. And WE are the ones now being told that everything about us is WRONG and EVIL and OPPRESSIVE. And worse, It Always Has Been. What's a boy to do when he feels everyone, everywhere despises him? How did we get here?
