Ep 24: Navigating Insecure Attachment + The Nervous System

from The Worthiness Lab · host Kyra White

This episode is for those wanting to lean into love. It is a dive into the intersection of polyvagal theory and how our nervous systems are intricately woven into our attachment, and a deep nervous system understanding of our capacity for leaning into love. It described what Polyvagal Theory is, and breaks down the different attachment styles as well as includes tips, tools a resources for navigating anxious and avoidant attachment dynamics, including how to support your body to come out of the freeze response. It is a refreshing episode that I hope will leave you empowered to get in the drivers seat of your relational life, and to trust that no matter where you find yourself in your attachment journey that you have the tools (or can learn the tools) to have deep love and connection. It is a vulnerable episode where I share some of my humanness and shortcomings, in hopes that it might offer a little bit of a permission slip, as well as an invitation into radical self-ownership for you to also acknowledge where you can and want to do better. Sending love to your human every step of the way!
