Ep. #252. RE: My Ottawa Testimony about Medically Assisted Suicide being offered to a Veteran, and the fallout
from Operation Tango Romeo, the Trauma Recovery Podcast · host Mark Meincke
On Monday, October 24th I testified in Ottawa about a Veteran who was offered assisted suicide by Veterans Affairs Canada. After the testimony, the Veteran contacted me, and expressed significant disapproval. Although I don't understand what exactly was said which he disapproves of, I do have a feeling that it's not what I said, but that he feels I may be profiting from his painful experience. This episode is my response, and I can only hope he hears it the way it's intended. VAC must be held to account. Veterans must be protected. Reform at VAC is critical.
