The salt law was broken on the call of Thakur Arjun Singh, He was a freedom fighter, a writer, a publicist, the first chairman of Saharanpur district and knowledgeable in many languages. He was dedicated to the country since childhood and started actively participating in the freedom movement, due to which he went to jail several times and endured torture by the British government. The first arrest took place in Mora village in March 1930. You all must have read in history that there were many movements under the leadership of Mahatma Gandhi to achieve independence.
