My first Bassmaster Classic experience was in 2019 when the big show was in Knoxville, TN. I was in the middle of a very pivotal moment in my life. I'll never forget conversing with fishing icon Al Lindner right before I decided to attend.I had reached out to him online for advice, and a few days later, out of the blue, I received a phone call from a Brainerd, MN area code. I thought that was strange, so I answered, and lo and behold, it was Mr. Lindner. His advice to me was to go for it. So, of course, I did. It landed me in the boat with GMAN, Gerald Swindle.Now here we are in 2023, the Classic returns to Knoxville, and it is crazy to look back and see how far we've come since then.This week's episode will recap my experience at this year's classic, including interviews from media day with Carl Jocumsen, John Cox, and Gerald Swindle.
