John Fisher is a Bay Area theater legend and is currently featured in Off-Broadway’s Medea: A Musical Comedy – which he wrote, directed and appears in. The show is enjoying an open-ended run at the Actors Temple Theatre in NYC. Medea: A Musical Comedy, which was a long-running gay hit in San Francisco and LA for years, is the winner of six Bay Area Critics Circle Awards including “Best Musical,” the LA Weekly Award for “Best Musical,” and the GLAAD Media Award for “Best Theatre."John is artistic director of San Fransciso’s Theatre Rhinoceros, the longest running LGBTQ theatre in the nation. He created sixty-two original, live, on-line solo-shows shows, one for each week of the pandemic. For his solo-work, John won a citation from the 2021 Bay Area Critics’ Circle Awards. In 2021, John took up residency in NYC where he has enjoyed extended runs at Pangea, The Tank, ArtsonSite, the LGBTQ Center, and Theatre Row. This was so much fun!
