EP 36 - Attacking Anxiety

from The Body's Compass · host Matt Sorensen

Today, anxiety is out of control. Anxiety is sometimes associated with Heart and Spleen Deficiency and, tensions around the stomach leading to patterns of disharmony. Viewing the body as a system, not a sum of isolated parts, These patterns occur when the system's harmony is disrupted. It is not equivalent to the Western concept of "disease" because both concepts arise from totally different ways of seeing the human body. To understand anxiety, we need to look for signs and symptoms associated with the pattern beyond what someone might typically experience from anxiety alone. At times the body interprets overall stress as mental-emotional anxiety.
