Benny Olson was a Direct Support K9 handler for the Tier 1 Navy SEAL team, the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. He deployed multiple times to Iraq and Afghanistan during the GWOT with various K9s on direct action missions. Most of his deployments occurred AFTER he was blown up on a target in Iraq that killed another of his comrades and left him severely injured. His physical and mental recovery are nothing short of remarkable and his tenacity to get back into the fight shows the true dedication of a warrior, which Benny surely is.
