Ep 4: Autumnal Equinox (Mabon) is coming, Witches!

from Bonfire Babble Podcast · host Corey & Detta

Happy Tuesday ( and New moon this September 17th) Today we talk about The Autumnal Equinox Mabon. Which we pronounce in a very American way ( sorry) We celebrate the Sabbat (sab-uht) in the Northern hemisphere on September 21st through 29th ( specifically September 22nd) this year. Corey gives a great history lesson and introduces many correspondences - herbs, crystals and colors. ( Boston public library and personal insight). Please do your research on Aiden Kelly and recognize that Mabon is a Neo- Pagan term. We don’t do a deep dive as this ep is about CELEBRATION! We discuss the type of spell work and ritual that this season boost and do some heavy lifting in exploring intentions and our opinions on how best to work with this new season, give some ideas for doing the work with all the "stuff". Detta gives a structure outline for her ritual practice. We are moving into the dark part of the year. There is amazing and powerful work to be done! Next week we do a deep dive into energy raising and share some specific work that we do during our rituals. We will be sharing some exercises, spell structures, and some actual spell grammary with all the dressings (corresponding - herbs, crystals, celestial timings etc)  that we encourage you to make your own. We hope you join us!
