Ep.41 | Artist, Curator Kobe Ko on gender fluidity, feminism, and Hong Kong's generation of displacement.

In this episode I sat down with artist and curator Kobe Ko. We spoke about her experience in Taiwan, her perspective on the current state of Hong Kong, The Post Human Narrative project and what Kobe is planning for next year. Kobe Ko (b. 1992 in Hong Kong) is a curator, artist and also one of the co-founders of nomad nomad. She has curated ‘Post-Human Narratives’ (2020–present), Mitsuru Nishimura’s solo exhibition ‘-Fade away-’ (2018), Mayumi Hosokura’s exhibition ‘Jubilee’ (2017), and ‘CHOW KAI CHIN Community Art Experimental Project’ (2013 & 2014), among others. ‘Before the last breath’ (2021) was selected for the Open Call of ‘Bouncing Art Show’ by 182 art space in Tainan.  Her artworks depart from her intimate relationship and personal sensation and mainly focus on the re-imagination of distance and boundaries. Her recent exhibitions include ‘38.4’ (Wure Area, HK, 2022) ‘Over the ocean, over the sea’ (Current Plans, HK, 2022). She  graduated from the Department of Creative Arts and Culture of The Hong Kong University of Education, and received an MA in Gender Studies from Shih Hsin University in Taiwan.
