Ep 41 LGBTQ, Immigration, Judges - Controversial Bills of 2026 Explained!

from God and Country Podcast · host Uriah Kennedy & Ingrid Bettridge

The Utah Legislative Session of 2026 has started with a roar. At the top of the list are two major bills by Representative Trevor Lee. HB183 prohibiting LGBTQ individuals from being with children in any kind of authoritative role for more than 5 minutes. Greatly prohibiting them from working with minors in any capacity. Then the next bill HB88 pulling back all incentives for illegal immigrants. Prohibiting them from having any access to WIC, Food Stamps, Medicaid or any and all other social benefits. As will as prohibiting them from receiving any government ID. We discuss the revisiting of a Mail In Ballot Bill past in 2025 that is getting some second looks after the Utah Senate dramatically watered down the original House bill in last years session. Senate President Stuart Adams is one of the main senators not wanting to change the mail in ballot system and continuing the vast voter fraud potential until after the 2028 presidential election. Major red flags popping up all over this. Then finally the House and Senate have already past a Judicial bill putting to more judges on the Utah Supreme court as well as adding to other lower courts. Part of this we hope are great measures to give voters absolute transparency on the ballot when voting in judge retentions. A lot of controversy, a massive amount of information for our listeners to consider. Need to know information in this weeks episode of the God and Country Podcast! In this episode, we delve into the controversial 2026 bills that are set to have a significant impact on various aspects of society, including LGBTQ restrictions, immigration cuts, and judicial changes. The proposed legislation explained in this video has sparked intense debate and raises important questions about community impact, children's rights, and social assistance. The bills aim to introduce new law changes, affecting immigration policy and reform, which may lead to increased self deportations and stricter rules for illegal immigrants. The role of ICE and the potential for voter fraud and voter integrity are also discussed, highlighting the need for comprehensive legislative updates and a thorough legislative review. As the house and senate navigate these policy changes, it is essential to understand the implications of these decisions on public policy and the potential consequences for social benefits and government id requirements. Trevor Lee provides insightful analysis and commentary on the political controversy surrounding these bills, offering a detailed examination of the proposed legislation and its potential effects on the community. By exploring the intricacies of these controversial bills, we can better understand the complexities of political news and updates, and the importance of staying informed about legislative updates and political reform.
