When therapy isn't the answer to your problems. This week’s episode is inspired by why I refused therapy as a ‘troubled’ teen and working through childhood wounds and addiction. My eating disorder began at just 9 years old, and so much of my parents’ solution to this was ‘send her away’ or use therapy as a punishment. Now, at 27, I’m in recovery for real this time, and am learning how to recover at my own pace and rewire my relationship with myself.
