Ep 469. The Heart of Homeopathic Practice - with Maggie Dixon

from Homeopathy Hangout with Eugénie Krüger · host Eugénie Krüger Homeopathy

Healing is not always about finding what is wrong, but about helping people reconnect with who they are. Maggie Dixon brings over 26 years of experience in homeopathy, along with her background as a nurse and health visitor, to explore the role of connection, vulnerability, and self-awareness in the healing process. We discuss the relationship between practitioner and patient, treating the person rather than the diagnosis, and the deeper changes that can happen when people begin to understand themselves more fully. Episode Highlights: 03:13 - Reflections from a recent graduation ceremony 05:01 - The individuality of each patient case 07:40 - The role of vulnerability in the training process 10:01 - Transformation through training 14:51 - Maggie's journey into homeopathy 20:23 - Empowering parents in health choices 24:27 - The lightbulb moment 33:17 - The role of the practitioner 35:34 - No hospital needed after all 38:53 - A Fever...Then they started walking 42:09 - Returning to one's true self 50:26 - Vulnerability Is a Superpower About my Guests: Maggie Dixon has been practising homeopathy for 26 years. In 2006, she founded the Green Park Natural Health Clinic in Bath and has recently relocated to London, where she continues to run a busy practice. Since 2015, Maggie has also practised at Ainsworths Homeopathic Pharmacy, where she remains one of their trusted homeopaths. Her extensive NHS career as a Registered Nurse and Health Visitor has shaped her integrative approach to homeopathy, blending conventional and holistic care. A dedicated educator, Maggie has lectured at the Centre for Homeopathic Education (CHE) for more than 20 years, taught at other colleges across the UK, and led seminars in New York. She is passionate about the role of clinical experience in developing homeopathic expertise and believes that the lessons gained through practice should be at the heart of homeopathic education. Maggie finds her greatest fulfilment in both her clinical work and in sharing her knowledge and experience with the many students she teaches and mentors.
