Ep 476: Bob Saget thoughts

from Opie Radio · host Gregg "Opie" Hughes

time I met him I was so damn starstruck. That's Bob Saget I thought to myself. Quickly learned he was so down to earth. Invited me and my now wife on a double date. Ate in the west village outside with everyone coming up to him. He was able to handle that and make sure we knew he was really paying attention to us. We laughed our asses off and it felt like I knew him my whole life. Everyone he met he made them feel important and special. That started a real nice friendship. He had a way of making you feel important. Went to many of his gigs when he was in the area. He always hung around after the show and wanted to do something. It was always an adventure and he was never not funny. When SiriusXM let me go a few years back he was one of the first peope to call to make sure I was going to be ok. He certainly didn't have to do that but I will never forget it. I remember being pretty bummed about what went down until he had me laughing my ass off. When I was getting the podcast off the ground he was more than happy to come on. Bob Saget was the real deal and he's gonna be horribly missed.
