Ep. 48, Pt. 1: Embracing your WILD in motherhood w/Angel Rockwell

Angel Rockwell is a healer, a coach, a spirit channel, and most importantly - A WILD MAMA. Angel is a friend, and someone who I am often in awe of in her motherhood. Angel has tossed the rule book aside and is doing things unapologetically her way which happens to include a baby on the boob a majority of the time, frolicking naked in her backyard, creating medicine from the earth - and I just LOVE that about her. Something I would have said prior to this conversation is "motherhood is hard". If I'm being honest, I have been in a season that has felt this way AND after this conversation, I am choosing to change that story. As you will hear, Angel beleives that our motherhood is sacred and that many of us have lost sight of that in the midst of the stress we associate with it, our own need to heal, and wearing our mom guilt like a badge of honor. Get this - Angel doesn't even BELIEVE in Mom guilt nor has she experienced it! What a freaking concept! Angel describes becoming a mother as the moment in the Wizard of Oz where everything comes alive with color. While that might seem like a stretch for some of us in the season we are in, I couldn't help but think - why can't that be my truth too?!?!? I hope that this conversation allows you to reflect in your motherhood. I also hope that Angel opens your eyes (as she did mine) to just how good our motherhood can feel when we stop making it a source of pressure to get it right and make it more about OUR KIDS and THEIR NEEDS.
