The European Commission sided in favour of Entain to put to bed a near five-year court case on whether the arrangement breached Article 107(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (‘TFEU’), which focuses on state aid.Elsewhere in sunny(ish) Gibraltar, an arrest warrant has been issues to former Mansion CEO Karel Manasco who stands accused of embezzling well over 2 million euros from the company. Manasco is arguing bias against him in the case, and failed to attend his arranged sentencing for contempt of court on Wednesday 9 April.
