This is a brand new month and we're talking about Crown of Midnight! It's the second book in the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas. This week we're reading chapters 1-10. We catch up with Celaena, our infamous assassin who's settled into her role as the King's Champion nicely. She's gotten close with the captain of the royal guard, Chaol, and at the same time distanced herself from the crown prince, Dorian, and she has both men continue to look her way. She has also continued her friendship with Princess Nehemia, a spy in the King's court that keeps asking Celaena to help her in her rebellion. But Celaena has lost too much and suffered too long. All she wants is to serve her contract and be free, but something is still lurking in the castle....and Celaena might be the only one that can do something about it.
