from Health Hope Harmony: A Mental Health Podcast Redefining Health Restoring Hope Reaching Harmony · host Sabrina Rogers

Send us Fan MailIn this episode I am talking about nighttime eating and what we can do about that. I cover the five types of nighttime eating that I see most often in my practice. And then I'm going to walk you through what you can do to wind down with food, and decide if you need to have another need met other than hunger.Your nighttime eating makes a lot of sense to me. You're fried, you're beat, you're exhausted evenings. And let's face it, days can be tough. Nighttime is tough. The day is finally caught up with you and you just want what you want. And you're done compromising. All you want to do is feel better, or sometimes not feel at all. You just want to be left alone to have some time to yourself at the end of the day. I completely get that I've been there. And sometimes you just want to have something nice for yourself and go to sleep. I get it. That my friend is called self care. And there is no sin. Nothing wrong with any of that. There are 5 Types of Nighttime eating1. Hermit Eating2. Decompressing3. Reward eating4. Insomnia related eating5.
