After Billy guided me through the current exhibition Signals we began our dialogue with why art is a safe haven, we talked about the relationship between language and identity, how racism has informed his viewpoint on the world, and why he became a curator. Billy Tang is Executive Director & Curator at Para Site, Hong Kong. He was previously the Senior Curator at Rockbund Art Museum, Shanghai, and Curatorial Director at Magician Space in Beijing.
