Ep. 61:The Uprising! Conversation With Haitian Creative Ruth Jean-Marie

This week, I am joined by my girl Ruth Jean Marie, who is the founder of The August Project and the creator of a new Nike sneaker called Uprising, which tells the powerful and inspiring story of the Haitian Revolution.   Today's episode is here to not only highlight Ruth's amazing work, but to inspire all us working women out there wanting to make change and create impact in our communities. Often times, we as professional working women of color are so caught up in the here and now that we forget to dream. We do not make time for imagination. We do not dare greatly because we have convinced ourselves that it is silly envision.  Ruth is a professional working woman out here in these streets. Like Ruth, you too can create. You too can be a visionary, and with hard work and determination, your vision can become a reality. Challenge for the week: Take some time today to imagine. If you could be anything what would you be? If you could do anything, what would you do? Then, sit back and think about what's keeping you from from reaching those goals.
