from The Roundtable with Robert Bannon · host Broadway Podcast Network
Rafael Silva joins The Roundtable to discuss his new film The Compatriots. In this intimate conversation, Rafael walks us through his character’s journey: an undocumented queer man who reconnects with his estranged friend, and together they confront the realities of immigration, identity, and chosen family. We dive into what drew Rafael to this story, how he prepared to portray someone navigating multiple marginalized identities, and the challenges of telling such layered stories in film. Plus, there’s discussion of what “home” means, and how our own pasts shape who we become. —Watch & Listen: YouTube • Facebook Live • Apple Podcasts • Spotify • iHeart More Robert: RobertBannon.com • Instagram @RobertMBannon #RafaelSilva #TheCompatriots #ImmigrationStories #LGBTQFilm #TheRoundtableWithRobertBannon Learn more about your ad choices.
