EP. 641『＠笠間、其ノ四 - 自分で作った器で食べる！かさましこ』

ゴールデンウィークの笠間では、陶芸の里・笠間芸術の森で笠間の「陶炎祭（ひまつり）」が開催されます。200を超える陶芸家が作品を展示販売する陶芸市で、来場者が茶碗やぐいのみを作れるワークショップも行われています。笠間は栃木県の益子にも近く、車で約40分ほどの距離にあります。笠間と益子は「かさましこ」と呼ばれ、日本遺産「兄弟産地が紡ぐ焼き物語」の舞台。両地域を合わせると600以上の窯元があり、18世紀後半から陶磁器を通じてつながってきました。笠間焼は自由な発想による造形性の豊かさが特徴で、器にとどまらない作品も数多く見られます。一方の益子焼は、人間国宝・濱田庄司に代表される民藝の流れを受け継ぎ、土の温かみや素朴さを大切にしています。自分で作った器で食事をすると、味わいも違って感じられます。笠間や益子で、ぜひ自分の器を作ってみてはいかがですか。
