Recently I went back to the Philippines and everyone was asking me “ You are still not married?. And I still couldn’t wrap my head around the fact that in this part of the world people still think women are incomplete without a husband and children at the age of 31. Nobody asked me about my school and how life has been without understanding that not everyone wants to live the same life. Meanwhile, I never cared about these external voices but it still amazes me how women are always pressured to do things their way.
