Ep. 69 Meet Dr. Mae Hughes, Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist

from Meet Bridget

Our bodies are intricately designed to grow and give birth to babies. However, this transformative experience does not have to mean sacrificing our own bodies. Pelvic floor issues during pregnancy and postpartum are entirely treatable, and with the right care, women can regain the strength and control needed to engage in all types of physical activities, including running and jumping. Unfortunately, pelvic floor physical therapy is often overlooked in standard care in the United States. Our guest today is determined to change that by advocating for its inclusion, as she wants women everywhere to rediscover their strength and regain their confidence. Even more importantly, she hopes to prevent women from losing their strength in the first place. Dr. Hughes' success and popularity are well-deserved, and it is an honor to have her join us on today's show. Her story is an inspiration, and we are excited to share it with you.
