Ep 70: Authenticity is NOT a Statement

This morning it hit me. Authenticity isn’t a statement; it’s a lifestyle. I’d been telling myself I was being authentic all along. But the truth is, I was still holding back. I was worried about offending someone who might be listening, filtering myself before I even opened my mouth. That’s the real problem. You can say you’re being honest. But if you’re still shaping everything around what other people think, you’re not actually there yet. So from now on, I’m done filtering myself to make strangers comfortable.
