Set in 1930s New York, Baldwin plays Lamont Cranston, a reformed criminal and Asian gangland kingpin (maybe?), who has taken up the mantle of THE SHADOW to fight crime and corruption. He uses his mystical powers and extensive network of indentured servants to keep the Mafia and other potential villains at bay. This one also stars Penelope Ann Miller, John Lone, Tim Curry, Peter Boyle and Ian McKellen.
