EP: 840 - CLIENT INTERVIEW “I am NOT the exception & I am going to CONQUER” How my client Helena conquered binge eating through rewiring her brain & no longer feeling an urge to binge.

from Ditch Decade Diets Podcast · host Lorna Costa - Binge Eating Coach

CONQUER BINGE EATINGHelena came to me struggling with her relationship with food & bingeing since she was 12 years old. She would come home from school and binge on a bunch of snacks when her parents weren’t home. She tried therapy, eating disorder treatment and worked with dieticians but always felt like she was the exception. She had thoughts that maybe she’d just struggle with bingeing & thinking about food for the rest of her life.Until she found my podcast, joined CONQUER & decided to trust the process and believe that she could CONQUER. She was fully open to a new approach of rewiring her brain after understanding that binge eating was a habit. (THIS IS KEY!!!) 🙏She didn't spend years in therapy talking about her childhood, following meal plans that made her more impulsive. She had real actionable tools to implement that helped her become less impulsive. She's a badass action taker and wanted to have practical tools that she could use in her everyday life. That's what you get inside CONQUER!One of the biggest shifts that allowed her to become binge free was understanding the difference between cravings and urges. AND how to honour her cravings without fear or spiralling out of control and how to say no to her urges. She used to just keep giving into her urges which is why they became so intense in the first place. When she began eating EXACTLY what she was craving (like we discussed in Day 1 inside the masterclass), she didn’t feel the need to eat a full chocolate bar or more than her body needed. Her body naturally stopped eating when she was satisfied without any willpower🤩She hasn’t binged in months, she no longer has binge urges & she’s regained all her mental energy back since food isn’t on her mind all day.She has so much more time to spend with her friends and family. She can confidently say she is binge free and is no longer the exception. She conquered all the way from BELGIUM!!!!Listen to her story & how she was able to conquer binge eating sustainably by Rewiring her brainCONNECT WITH LORNA:---> Instagram @lorna_bingeeatingcoach https://www.instagram.com/lorna_bingeeatingcoach/ ---> TikTok @lorna_bingeeatingcoach https://www.tiktok.com/@lorna_bingeeatingcoach
