Jamie Wilkins is a psychic composer, orchestra conductor, physical and mental medium and healer. His debut album, Primo, was recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra and is available on all digital platforms. The music was inspired by spirit while working on the TV series ‘Ghostcircle’, where Jamie and other psychic mediums investigated haunted locations across the UK, Ireland, and Europe. Jamie was contemplating an afterlife from a very young age and was a very sensitive child, which he struggled with growing up. The first experience he can remember is at the age of ten, when he saw a spirit walk out of a wall, walk past his bedroom door and vanish into the wall opposite, and then he experienced physical phenomena in his teens. It wasn’t until Jamie’s mother took him to Fulham Spiritualist Church that the world of mediumship started to open up for him, and after a few years, it was where he met Patrick McNamara, who was co-founder with Karl Fallon of Ghostcircle. Jamie sat in Patrick’s circle for many years and had many incredible experiences of spirit evidence and eventually realised that he had a natural gift for physical mediumship under Patrick’s mentorship. After some years of sitting and developing physical mediumship, the group went on filming trips to showcase modern physical mediumship, travelling throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe, filming in haunted castles and inns. This resulted in the TV shows, which aired on Sky TV, and later, Jamie co-presented a ghost hunt section in the show with his partner and fellow medium, Hannah, alongside another medium called Ben. The passing of Patrick in 2021 renewed his passion for mediumship, and he set up his own home physical circle to develop further and carry on Patrick’s work in the field. Jamie captured an EVP of Patrick's voice, saying, "I am here," at the very first sitting when one of the sitters asked if Patrick could talk into the microphone. Jamie also had a calling to develop his mental mediumship, and after seeing a new circle advertised in late 2023/24 at Fulham Spiritualist Church with Elain Staintion, Jamie went along and found that with Elain's help and guidance, his mediumship and confidence grew from strength to strength, with 2025 seeing Jamie make his two debuts: his first divine service at Fulham Spiritualist Church and then the release of his album, Primo. During this time, Jamie describes his compositional process as having become increasingly intertwined with spirit communication. At times, he experiences music flowing through him with such intensity that he has no conscious recollection of writing certain passages, and on one occasion, he felt his hands physically guided across the piano keys by an unseen presence. Another experience while recording his album was seeing three solid black figures looking on, blocking out the light of the window behind them, which vanished instantly when Jamie happened to glance up while conducting, and on another occasion clairaudiently hearing a spirit saying that the second violins are out of time, a couple of seconds before the sound engineer called cut for that very reason. Jamie has a philosophical outlook with both his mediumship and his music, which he sees as creating a bridge between the mystical and the musical. Jamie translates into his music the living impressions of places, memories and impressions that he believes can be sensed in his music. He also believes in the transformative power of music for good and to shine a light into the darkness to help people heal and move forward, aiming not merely to entertain but to uplift and inspire. With this, Jamie is deeply inspired by the music and philosophy of the master Baroque composer, G.F. Handel, who once said, “I should be sorry if I only entertained them; I wish to make them better."
