I've concluded the easiest way to convey my life changes without alcohol is to list some of the things I have done in the past year that simply would not have occurred with drink. These are pretty much in order." "*Saved my relationship,*Started a successful business *Cleared most of my debt - the rest is structured and manageable, *Ripped up the patio decking myself and laid a patio, *Built a brick BBQ (I have never picked up a brick in my life), *Turned a spare room into a functional office space that now finances the house, *Converting the outhouse into a professional office, *Regained the trust of my extended family, *Vastly improved relationship with my own family, *Started Judo, having never practiced a martial art in my life. My goal is black belt in 4 years, *Lost 9 pounds of belly fat, *Helped at least one very good friend quit alcohol, For good. I will support them in perpetuity, *Celebrated a birthday, Christmas, New Year and this weekend a stag do without the slightest fear or paranoia the following day."   "To be fair to alcohol, below is a list of things I have missed about drink and the benefits it brought me over the years: *        , *        , *        , *        , *        , *        , *        , *        , *        .
