The constellation of Andromeda is one of the oldest in the sky and one of the most important in the Northern Hemisphere. It takes its name from the princess Andromeda of Greek mythology, daughter of Cassiopeia and saved by Perseus. Andromeda is a victim of a fault not her own: she pays the price for her mother’s arrogance. Mythology portrays her as an innocent figure, associated with purity and unpretentious beauty. These are qualities we, too, can carry into our daily lives.
