Ep116 Child of Chemically Dependent Parents (Dezi Hargis)

A train wreck waiting to happen pretty much describes Dezi's life. Both parents were extremely chemical dependent. She suffered from many of the results of parents being addicted. We are talking abuse, neglect, and more. It came to a point in her teen years that she had to choose whether to protect her mom or her daughter. She chose her daughter. Then following a failed suicide attempt she turned her life around through Christ and is now working toward being a certified peer recovery coach.
